All are welcome to The Poetry Corner to enjoy an evening in the company of poet (and IBS parent) Ralph Black, at Book in Bar, on May 29th.
Ralph Black is the author of two books of poetry: Turning Over The Earth and The Apple Psalms. His poems have been widely published in American literary journals. When not on sabbatical in the south of France, he lives with his wife and daughters in Rochester, NY, where he teaches literature and creative writing at the State University of New York.
Bravo to IBS Staff Yves Gerbal and Jack Rognes for their recent theatre production, ’Rencontre d’un certain type’. The play, written and directed by Yves, boasted as its lead actor none other than our very own Jack! For all those who missed the event, we are hoping to have an on-site encore performance at the school in the Fall !
IBS students participated in the Annual Kangourou Maths competion once again with flying colours! The event offers students the chance to prove their mathematical skills against other students from around the world. Although all the students did exceptionally well, a special congratulations go to Anna Pax-MacDowell and Océane Dauzère-Peres who scored in the top 3% ! Thank you to Mrs Damez, IBS Maths teacher!
«MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO» as best said in Latin by our ancestors !
Thanks to the efforts of Mme DAFARRA (IBS Italian teacher) and Mr ACHY (IBS Parent), the school will host its first “Organic Day” on Thursday, May 28th. The day will begin with a short documentary film on how to eat in a healthy manner followed by a culinary course using local Provençal ingredients…and ending with an organic picnic in the sun !
