ITER VISIT – IBS of Provence
A special thanks to Mr Holtkamp, IBS Parent and ITER Executive, who came to the school on Tuesday, March 16th to give a presentation on the ITER project and nuclear energy to several Physics classes. Students listened attentively as he gave us all a better insight into the world of nuclear fusion, fission, plasma as well as the overall ITER project at Cadarache.
Thank you to Mr Hoarau and Mr Audren for help organising the event and of course, to Mr Holtkamp for taking the time to teach us !
ROMEO & JULIETTE – IBS of Provence
A group of 41 IBS students headed off to the Gyptis Theatre in Marseilles to see a presentation of “Romeo & Juliette” by the “Théâtre en Anglais Company”. The minimalist setting was very effective and the cast of three were quite dynamic, playing several parts during the play. All that was missing were the big action scenes between the Montagues and the Capulets !
RUSTIC PATHWAYS – IBS of Provence
On Monday, March 8th and Tuesday, March 9th, IBS invited the organisation, “Rustic Pathways”, to give a special presentation to IB students regarding their different CAS related international travel projects around the globe. These trips, which can be directed towards the IB diploma’s CAS credits (Community, Action and Service) include such exciting trips as teaching in an African village, a week of film directing in Bollywood and participating in a photo safari in Africa.
Thank you to Rustic Pathways for joining our students and the informative session they provided.
