DINOSAURS AND BOOK MONTH

DINOSAURS AND BOOK MONTH - IBS of Provence - International Bilingual School of Provence

DINOSAURS AND BOOK MONTH

In honor of Book Month, IBS students had the opportunity to meet IBS Parent and Author, Mr Potts, who came to enrich our students with his in-depth knowledge.

Mr Potts, enraptured us all with his dinosaur tales and raised some interesting questions for our students:

“Did you know that the Ste Victoire is Europe’s richest site of fossil dinosaur eggs (leading to its nickname “Eggs-en-Provence)?” Not many students knew this!

“Have you been to the Natural History Museum in Aix, where there is the world’s largest collection of dinosaur eggs?” Unfortunately, very few students have visited this treasure trove!

“Is it possible to know what colour the dinosaurs were?” Ask the students what they learned about this!

Mr Potts, who is a mine of interesting information, regaled us with fun and fascinating facts about these weird and wonderful beings, delving deep into the Crestacian and Jurassic periods, as we all listened, enthralled.

Mr Potts conveyed his knowledge in a lively, accessible manner which the students loved! I think we all came away a little more knowledgeable and curious to learn more about these long-extinct, impressive creatures.
