On Friday, March 29th, the Terminale IB Art students showcased their final year artwork at the Tuilerie Bossy in Gardanne. Parents, teachers and students joined the exposition to appreciate the creative talent of our students.
Thanks to Mme Schroevers and the Tuilerie Bossy for making this lovely event possible !
In February, our 6/5/4ème students were invited to the art exhibit being held at the Musee Granet in Aix en Provence as part of the "Marseille 2013, European Capital of Culture."
Thank you to Ms Schroevers, IBS Art Department Coordinator, for organising this outing for our students.
Are you a 1ère student ? Can you write in several languages ? Would you like to share and even publish your literary creations ? If so, take part in our project !
Our project ? The publication of a book that will bring together the works of students capable to write in (at least) two different languages. But be careful, these should be distinct and unique works, not translations !
Our Aim ? Highlight the diversity of languages present in our school and encourage our desire to write, in view of being published by the end of the year.

Please find below a video of this year’s Ski Trip to Praloup for 6/5/4ème students. Thank you to Ms Weingaertner for creating and sharing this with us.

Eight students (Lucas Pollet, Asmara Awada, Alexandre Roubaud, Lisa Gerlach, Cecilia Puech, Benjamin Bloch, Marie Bachmüller and Alexander Durie) from IBS were able to participate in the 8th regional session of the European Youth Parliament in PACA on the weekend of the 8th-10th of February.
We were able to enjoy and participate in numerous outdoor and indoor activities including team building exercises, a “treasure hunt”, the Eurovillage and the Europarty on Saturday night. We all got the chance to socialize and get to know the other students in our committees. Committee work was a very interesting experience, where we all got the chance to write a resolution in order to solve current European issues. We were given the opportunity to exchange ideas and work together as a group to reach unanimity! The weekend ended on a fine note with the General Assembly in which debating, defending, attacking and voting were key.
The European Youth Parliament was a life-changing experience in which we discovered that despite our young age, we contributed to a possible change in the EU. We are all looking forward for the next available session!
