On Friday, December 16th, IBS students celebrated the holidays with the traditional Christmas Market and Holiday Party. Many different volunteer efforts took place including the Book Drive, Bake Sale, Toy and Canned Food Drive and International Buffet among others. Student performances included choir performances, the dance students performed, a theatre piece "Snow White" by the Drama Club and songs performed by the Musical Comedy group.
Thank you to all for your support, different organisations will benefit from the event including the Juna Amaga School in Uganda, the Restos du Coeur and the IBS Library.

In honour of Book Month, the 6ème students in Ms Poet-Benevent’s class, elaborated on the theme ’Childhood’ through their interpretation of the work by Sébastien Britt, Le Collège Fantôme. The students created their own stories which they creatively weaved suspense, emotion and lots of action to keep their readers on the edge of their seats!
Thank you to the students for their enthouiasm and sharing their creativity with the other students.
IBS was proud to host on Friday, November 25th a group of US Navy personnel who after joining us on the school terrace for lunch, spent the afternoon with our younger students sharing their experiences. Our students asked lots of questions about ’life on a battleship’ and ’navy life’ in general.

The four IBS Boarding Houses have officially elected their student representatives to the Boarding Council. These students serve as a liaison between the boarding houses and the school to communicate ideas, solve problems and any general issues that may arise throughout the year.

On Monday, November 21st, IBS had the pleasure of welcoming the writer (and teacher) Mr Dominique Resch, as part of a series of Writer’s Workshops planned as part of our Book Month. Mr Resch shared his literary experiences with our 7th grade French class and talked about his latest book, Mots de Tete, which chronicles his life as a teacher, with humour of course!
