Thank you to Consul Genot for joining us for this special event !
An awesome DJ team (Merci Patrizio & Karl!), Hannah’s harworking crew of CAS students, and some busy moms, lead by the uber-mom Elsbeth Rowaan, worked together to transform the IBS boarding house, Relais de St. Victoire (thank you for having us!) into the hot spot of the weekend for our kids. The party goers looked like a million bucks and Fran and Louise, of First Class Photography, were on sight to capture the rare button-down shirt and the winning flouncy skirt willing step into the photo studio and smile for the camera. So go to firstclassphotography.eu (as of May 12th) to check out the awesome catch, then make your orders in time for the summer visit to the grandparents.
Voila, the dance was a hit and most of all….. it was a really, really good thing to see happy hoping-up-and-down kids in a safe place having a whole lot of fun…. “oh oooo oh oooo oh oh !” So who is in charge for next year ?
On April 1st, IBS 4ème students trekked off to the neighbouring town of Greasque to visit a mine as part of their History lesson. The visit which included a historical briefing of how the mine worked, the difficulties placed on the mine workers as well as the usage of the material for the community proved to be one History lesson that the students will not forget. Although the mine is no longer in service, the students even had the opportunity to meet with one of the former miners and ask him questions (in French of course!) Thank you to the teachers for planning this hands-on adventure for the students.
