Welcome to Palo-ville! IBS of Provence Petite Section Pâquerettes pupils (Nursery) explored the town: they went shopping and visited the dentist, the vet and the hairdresser. On Tuesday 24 March, the IBS of Provence amphitheatre was once again packed for the final of our Concours d'Éloquence 2026, our French public speaking competition. Last week, the IBS of Provence Primary School celebrated Maths Week with a fun and creative photo competition on the theme “Maths in Sports”. Our young mathematicians saw the world around them in a whole new way, and the results were brilliant. Spring has arrived in the IBS of Provence Primary School hall, and it looks wonderful! Every single circle on this magnificent tree was made by one of our pupils, from Playgroup all the way up to CM2 (Year 6). Hundreds of little hands, hundreds of unique flowers, one shared masterpiece: “Together We Bloom”. Proof that when we create together, something truly magical happens. 🌸

Last week, every pupil in our Maternelle and Primary School at IBS of Provence, from Petite Section (Nursery) to CM2 (Year 6), took part in a session led by a real firefighter, specially trained to teach children life-saving skills. On Friday 13 February, our IBS of Provence Primary pupils celebrated Carnival, bringing colour, creativity and smiles to the whole campus! 🎭 Despite the rainy weather of recent days, everyone had a wonderful day celebrating together. What a perfect way to end the term before the winter break! ✨

On Monday 2 February, IBS of Provence pupils from Petite Section (Nursery) and Moyenne Section (Reception) visited ABS Cirque Danse in Venelles to try their hand at circus skills. 🎪 The children loved every activity and happily gave everything a go. A big thank you to Élodie and Steph, who showed them each activity and helped them throughout the session. Well done to our little performers! 🤹

On Thursday 29 January, the whole after-school care team at IBS of Provence Primary wished a very happy birthday to the children born in December and January who were there that day! 🎂 A lovely tradition that marks the year at after-school care. Happy birthday to all our little ones!

To mark International Mother Language Day on Saturday 21 February, we are celebrating the incredible linguistic diversity of our community with our 4th Creative Writing Competition. 🌍 The Competition Who: students aged 8 to 18 whose mother tongue is neither English nor French. What: a poem, short story or fairy tale, written in your own language, that ends with the sentence "...and they found peace and quiet". Deadline: Monday 2 March. At the start of the year, our Nursery (Petite Section) pupils from the Tournesols class made, then tasted, their very own galette des rois (King Cake)! 👑 A lovely French tradition to begin the year at the IBS of Provence Maternelle. Well done to our little bakers!

This week, our school community was treated to two unforgettable performances of our annual pantomime, Robyn Hood. The shows, held on Monday and Tuesday, were a resounding success : full of laughter, energy, and creativity from start to finish.

There are some days at school that are out of the ordinary and remain etched in our memories. Last Monday was one of them! The Lavender Senior Class and Sea Middle Class celebrated Friendship Day, a unique opportunity to strengthen bonds and learn the values of living together, all in a cosy atmosphere: pyjamas were mandatory!
