There are some days at school that are out of the ordinary and remain etched in our memories. Last Monday was one of them! The Lavender Senior Class and Sea Middle Class celebrated Friendship Day, a unique opportunity to strengthen bonds and learn the values of living together, all in a cosy atmosphere: pyjamas were mandatory! 😴👚
A Comforting Morning Ritual
From the moment they arrived, the atmosphere was different. Gone were the uniforms, replaced by pyjamas, cosy dressing gowns and slippers! This simple change immediately created an atmosphere of camaraderie and relaxation, reminding the children that this day would be devoted to comfort, sharing and kindness.
Getting to Know Each Other Better
The first part of the day was devoted to games and socialising activities. The aim? To break the ice and get to know each other better. Through fun exercises, the children identified and practised the attitudes that make us good friends: sharing, listening, helping each other and being kind. It was a real joy to see them interacting and cooperating with such enthusiasm.
On the programme: creativity, cooking and collaboration!
The day centred around three key activities, combining creativity, collaboration and sensory enjoyment.
🍕 1. Pizza Workshop: ‘From Imagination to Plate’ Our little chefs first drew and designed their dream pizzas on paper. Then, they put their plans into action! Flouring, rolling out the dough, choosing the ingredients... This culinary workshop was an opportunity to follow instructions, share resources and enjoy their delicious creations together.
🎨 2. Friendship Mural: A Collective Work of Art
What better way to symbolise the unity of the class than with a shared work of art? Each child left their mark, literally, by dipping their hand in paint to participate in a magnificent friendship mural. This colourful creation will remain a tangible symbol of their promise to be good friends. ♥✋
✨ 3. Musical Finale: The Glow Stick Party! What better way to end this magical day than with a luminous party? In a room plunged into darkness, glow sticks and bracelets transformed the classroom into a fairy-tale dance floor. The children's laughter and amazed faces sparkled as brightly as the lights, creating a moment of pure joy and unforgettable memories.
This Friendship Day was much more than just a series of activities. It was a rich sensory and emotional experience, where simply wearing pyjamas created a unique sense of belonging. We are immensely proud of these little community builders, who demonstrated exemplary openness and team spirit.
Their smiles and positive energy are the best proof that the greatest lessons in life are also learned through joy, creativity and kindness.
