January is computer hardware month at IBS of Provence! To mark International Mother Language Day on Saturday 21 February, we are celebrating the incredible linguistic diversity of our community with our 4th Creative Writing Competition. 🌍 The Competition Who: students aged 8 to 18 whose mother tongue is neither English nor French. What: a poem, short story or fairy tale, written in your own language, that ends with the sentence "...and they found peace and quiet". Deadline: Monday 2 March. At the start of the year, our Nursery (Petite Section) pupils from the Tournesols class made, then tasted, their very own galette des rois (King Cake)! 👑 A lovely French tradition to begin the year at the IBS of Provence Maternelle. Well done to our little bakers!

a simple egg had to survive a fall from the roof! 🥚 The Mission Build: a toothpick structure combined with a parachute system to protect the egg. Science: calculate air resistance and test the eggs' survival rate. Final test: the big drop from the roof. This week, our school community was treated to two unforgettable performances of our annual pantomime, Robyn Hood. The shows, held on Monday and Tuesday, were a resounding success : full of laughter, energy, and creativity from start to finish.

On Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th November, our Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 pupils enthusiastically took up the challenge of the traditional IBS cross-country race.

There are some days at school that are out of the ordinary and remain etched in our memories. Last Monday was one of them! The Lavender Senior Class and Sea Middle Class celebrated Friendship Day, a unique opportunity to strengthen bonds and learn the values of living together, all in a cosy atmosphere: pyjamas were mandatory!
