The 7th grade class of Ms.Pacos performed a dissection of a sheep’s heart as part of their studies.
During this project, the main objective was to study the external and internal structures of a sheep’s heart and all the blood vessels attached. All of the class identified that a sheep’s heart has four chambers like most mammals. Each group was responsible for producing a report based on their work. Everyone was courageous and very involved in their operation!

On Wednesday 10th February, a group of 11 IBS International Baccalaureate students accompanied Mrs Lawrence to the Academic Council for the United Nations (ACUNS) offices in Marseille to meet the Director, Mr Pierre Jean Gire who will also be our guest speaker at the English Day on April 4th. The group spent a very interesting afternoon discussing the activities of the United Nations in general as well as planning an internship project with ACUNS for IBS students. Three IBS students (Guillaume Dubin, Karen Von Moses and Julia Binstock) will be starting their training with ACUNS during the first week of the February holidays.
Not only will this experience count for CAS, it will also be extremely beneficial for future job applications! We feel very honoured to be able to participate in the ACUNS activities and are now officially one of the four accredited ACUNS internship establishments – along with L’ENA, SCIENCE PO, and POLYTECHNIC.
Over 140 IBS students headed to the Alps for the annual Ski Week Trip. Morning studies led to excellent afternoon skiing thanks to an abundance of fresh powder on the slopes. The International Ski School provided professional group lessons which were celebrated with an Awards Ceremony at the end of the week. Not to be forgotten were the evening activities which included traditional games, a visit from a magician and the infamous disco soirée! Thanks to students and teachers for a memorable trip !
