On Friday 15th October, we were honoured to have had the visit of Carole Tibault Teffry, national coach for the U21 ladies’ team. Her trained eye came to spot talents amongst our international players and to help us prepare for the first regional tournament on Saturday 20th November.
On a rainy afternoon, our players set off to play their first indoor matches against the Aix, Salon and Marseille club, and Campra College. Unfortunately, our recently formed teams were confronted with more experienced players but we got in lots of great practice! This first opportunity to play as a team enthused our players to strengthen their skills and be ready for the upcoming games on the 5th of February. GO IBS !
The school would like to thank IBS Mother, Joyce BORGMANN, for her precious help during training sessions and games.
During their time together, not only are both sections learning oral presentation and debating skills, but they are also learning to build bridges between their language and cultural divide. We are excited that this fun and enlightening experience will continue to strengthen the bilingual community here at IBS.
In honour of this year’s Book Month, IBS was proud to host published author (and IBS parent), Carolyn Tate, for a special workshop on ’How to Write a Book’. Our budding authors listened attentively as Ms Tate shared her own experience and gave useful tips on how one goes about writing, whether it be an article or book. She also explained the publication process including how to self-publish.

The workshop is one of many school projects (including a Jane Austen Book Club and a Short Story Contest) happening during the month of November in celebration of IBS Book Month.
Please join us for our next IB Theatre Night in January. Look for information in the weeks following our return from Christmas break. We hope to see you there !
