The Resto du Coeur were extremely happy to see our students and their filled boxes – just in time to be distributed before the holidays!
The theatre trip to Marseilles, one of several planned for the year, is an optional outing organised annually by the English Department.
From December 9th to 12th, a group of IBS students jetted off to England for a visit of Bath and Bristol. Their trip was charged with cultural and linguistic opportunities such as an Actor’s Workshop ran by the Bristol Film Acting School followed by a delicious tapas meal and then to see the play, Pinocchio.
The next day included a trip to the beautiful Georgian town of Bath where Jane Austen lived including a guided visit of the Jane Austen Centre.
On Saturday, the group explored the SS Great Britain – one of the first transatlantic steamships now docked in Bristol. They then ended the day with a trip to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre to catch a performance of ’Swallows and Amazons’.
Thank you to the IBS trip leaders, Mrs Balandier-Brown, Mrs Lawrence and Mr Castaillac for making the expedition such a success !
They even had the opportunity to do this in the famous UNESCO Building along with a bit of sight-seeing! More details to follow in the next edition of IBS News.
